As 2021 begins and everyone wants the Coronavirus Pandemic to be over, this my guide to survive Covid, the one based in some reality but derived from some hope of better things to come.
Make a Plan
Tricky, with no certainty and it gets trickier when the pathway changes a lot. Ultimately, it all comes down to two principles: believing things will return to normal and accepting you don't know when. Therefore a plan must be flexible, adaptable and manageable by breaking a monumental task into lots of smaller more mentally manageable pieces.
One thing at a time
The way out of the pandemic will be one thing at a time, therefore businesses that have been heavily affected by the pandemic should think in the same way: one thing at a time.
Use your dead time wisely
As with all businesses, time to reflect is hard to come by. Reflecting, improving and come back stronger are therefore the best things you can do with some time.
Think positively
Positive thinking is a major factor in success. So instead of mulling over things that didn’t go quite right, remind yourself of things that did and realise that the world moves on and as a business you need to move with it.

Tom Kerridge's Saving Britain's Pubs Program
Let it inspire you and remind you of the challenge. Let it give you some companionship with those with similar difficulty. Take something away. For me it was improving efficiency to decrease waste (time mostly) and increase margins (getting more done with less time).
Reassess what is a good result
No pub will make good money / any money at the moment so is a good result making tiny money or losing not too much and being able to come back? Or is a good result not throwing good after bad and finding a new life?
Don't Stress
What's the point, things will happen when they happen. Just try your best.
